Every year in remembrance of the Holocaust, the University of Georgia has a special festival called “Israel Day.” Booths are set up in Tate Plaza, the center of campus life, and Israeli flags are flown to show support for the nation of Israel and the Jewish people. This year the event was held on April 25 and we were allowed to set up a table to distribute our Hebrew/English New Testaments. I arrived on campus around 10:00 a.m. My pastor and his son came along to help me man the table. Five others also helped us. Almost immediately after setting up our table, I was approached by an Israeli Jew. He was curious but would not even touch the literature on our table. Soon afterwards, a young Jewish lady came over and accepted a Bible. Throughout the day, we met many Jewish students and others that had Jewish professors and friends to whom they wanted to give a Bible. In all we gave out over 100 Bibles & countless tracts. Near the end of the day two Jewish guys approached me and we entered into a discussion over the claim of Jesus as Messiah. One really listened and actually took 3 Bibles; one to keep and one for his rabbi. Please pray that God will work in the lives of these people. Perhaps like Mark who was mentioned in our last post, the Holy Ghost will continue to work and will reveal to them their Messiah Jesus! see Photos from this event in our photo gallery.
