Witnessing In Atlanta

I recently had the opportunity to pair up again with an old friend to witness to the Jews in Atlanta. It brought back a lot of memories, and I really enjoyed the fellowship. We started out at Georgia State University. On the sidewalk outside of the college, we distributed tracts to the students as they went to class. After we did this for a while, we went inside to the courtyard. They have tables set up for the student to use to distribute literature. We stood by a table and started passing out Gospel tracts. I met a Jew from Bloemfontein, South Africa. His name is Mitch. I was able to talk to him for quite a while, and he accepted a Hebrew-English New Testament. My witnessing partner also had some good opportunities to witness.
After a few hours, we left the college and went to the mall. We were discouraged at first because we could not find the Israeli Jews that usually fill the malls during the holidays. As we were about to leave, we decided to go a little further where we finally found them! As I was at one kiosk talking to Igol, my friend was talking to another Jewish person nearby. When my friend came to where I was, the Lord opened the door wide for us to witness.
For about half an hour we were able to give Igol and his coworker, also a Jew, scripture showing prophecies fulfilled by Christ. We asked the lady to read from Isaiah 53 in Hebrew. She refused at first but finally agreed to read the passage. When she did, the scales were lifted. She grew very nervous and refused to discuss it anymore. Igol agreed that the text sounded like Jesus. He invited us back and gladly accepted a New Testament and prophecy unveiled. He has since returned to Israel, but I am sure seed was planted!
When we left the mall, we went to Beth Jacob, the largest Orthodox synagogue in Georgia. It was Saturday so the Jews were walking to and from the temple. I was very nervous, but we passed out a few tracts anyway. We met a Jewish man who talked to us for twenty or thirty minutes. For about 5 minutes of this time it was raining! I can imagine how it looked to see two Baptist preachers and an Orthodox Jew standing in the rain talking. He did not get saved, but we left the door open for future conversations. Please continue to pray for him. Thank you all for your prayers and support.
